About the Company
Crossnet International, Inc. is an international trading company serving to arrange sales of various commodities to and from China in particular, and to Asia in general. Our Vice-President of Sales is a Chinese citizen, so we are able to deal with our Chinese colleagues in their own language and with sensitivity to Chinese business procedures and with an understanding of Chinese customs.
Our VP has developed many important connections in China. Such connections are vital to doing business in China - this is the Chinese way.
Crossnet International, Inc. works in international sales. The company functions as an international trade facillatator locating sources, worldwide, of needed materials and commodities for Chinese buyers.
Crossnet also works with Chinese manufacturers and is developing markets in the USA by establishing and maintaining a network of distributors for the Chinese manufacturers. Crossnet handles all shipping procedures, determines customs duties and processes all required paperwork to import products, so foreign manufacturers only have to quote prices, FOB, from nearest shipping ports.
Since 1999 Crossnet has been importing utility poles manufactured in China and has set up distribution for those poles in the USA.
Crossnet International, Inc. was founded in 1982. The company, originally named Metrasystems, Inc, operated as a Manufacturer's Representative organization. Metrasystems represented manufacturers of technical products, selling those products throughout the northeastern region of the USA. The manufacturers were based both in the USA and in foreign countries. Metrasystems developed sales of several million dollars annually in the course of its 20 year history and employed several sales engineers.
In 1998, Metrasystems began to focus it's interest on international sales utilizing the Internet to reach manufacturers in foreign countries. The name of the company was changed to Crossnet International, Inc. to better reflect the sales activities of the company.
Mr. Jerry Goldberg, the president of Crossnet, is a physicist by training with BS and MS degrees in physics. Mr. Goldberg worked 12 years in research and development. He has published papers in optics, electrooptics and magnetics and he holds several patents. Mr Goldberg has worked in technical sales for 23 years selling technical products for Metrasystems as the lead sales engineer while also administering the operation of the company.
Mr. Zheng Qiang joined Crossnet International in 1999 and serves as Vice President. Mr. Zheng, a Chinese citizen, is fluent in English and serves as liaison officer insuring a complete understanding between Chinese and American businessmen in the course of developing business relationships for Crossnet International, Inc.
Mr. Zheng is stationed in China.
Previously Mr. Zheng worked as a translator for Nokia Corporation and he has worked as the Director at the Foreign Affairs Office, Guilin Great Wall Industrial Trade Co. Ltd.
Mr. Zheng has studied on an MBA program at the Stetson University in Florida and at Olivet Nazarene University in Chicago. Mr. Zheng holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Foreign Studies from Guangdong University.
